OVERVIEW

I spent the summer of 2023 improving my skills as a designer while working remotely @Programming Pathshala. A fintech company that offers computer science courses for cracking job placements and a deep understanding of the subject.

I was a member of the product team and assisted in the creation of their course webpages, dashboard, and more.

This job taught me a lot about working as part of a team, reporting to a product manager, and cooperating with a cross-functional team.

I worked on various projects during my time on the internship some solo some not but worked hard on each one of them

REDESIGNED COURSE WEBPAGES

Me and my co-interns worked together to design the various course webpages

ONBOARDING SCREENS

Analysed cognitive load on the onboarding questions to reduce bounce rate

DASHBOARD ELEMENTS

Worked on the free trial dashboard and designed some dashboard elements for the paid one.

B2B BROCHURE

Designed the B2B Brochure for the company that had to circulated amoung various colleges.

MY RESPONSIBILITIES

USER RESEARCH

Understanding the current user flow of the existing dashboard for the paid courses, competitive analysis for the hints, and solution features for the code judge panel - a coding test platform. I was also part of some user interviews which helped me understand the user experience and what could be improved more.

IDEATING

Collaborating closely with the development team and PM. I iterated on my designs based on feedback received in tech scrums, design critiques, and meetings with the founder of the company.

METRICS

"Good design is a good business"

20%

Sale Increment

New and improved webpages, seamless navigation

50+

Zoom Meetings

User interviews, cross-functional meetings and more

MY LEARNINGS

COMMUNICATION

I learned how important communication between teams, the PM, and the founder was. Communicating with the PM taking feedback and iterating is very crucial for the process of producing a good product. Improving my ability to present and communicate design concepts to stakeholders.

PROBLEM SOLVING

I learned effective problem-solving and design thinking. Learned that not all problems need a complex approach but a simple solution to a problem.
